[ワシントン 6日 ロイター] – Special Counsel Smith, who oversees an investigation into the allegations of former US President Donald Trump, has subpoenaed election officials from several counties in Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin, The Washington Post reported on the 6th.

Officials in Wisconsin received the subpoena dated May 22, according to a copy of the subpoena obtained by Reuters.

The subpoena covers “all forms of communication regarding Trump and his campaign with Trump, aides, campaign staff and supporters between June 1, 2020 and January 20, 2021. ” is required to be submitted.

Mr. Smith was appointed special counsel last month by U.S. Attorney General Garland. He will oversee investigations into ex-President Trump’s smuggling of classified documents and his alleged attempt to overturn the outcome of the 2020 US presidential election.
