Trump would beat Biden in the 2024 elections: Poll – N+

Donald Trump would clearly prevail in the next presidential elections over the current US president, Joe Biden, by 44% compared to 39% of votes, according to a survey published by the University of Emerson College and collected by the newspaper “The Hill”.

12% of those surveyed have expressed their intention to vote for a candidate other than Trump and Biden, according to the study, thus confirming Trump’s leadership. In May Trump obtained the same 44 percent, while Biden has dropped from 42 to 39%.

Biden has already made explicit his intention to run for a second presidential term despite some Democratic voices who have already questioned his suitability.

Meanwhile, Trump has repeatedly hinted that he could run again, although it is not a consummate decision and there are other names that sound in the Republican field. The study gives him in any case a clear advantage in a hypothetical primary election.

56% of Republican voters would support Trump in the primary. 20% would back Florida Governor Ron DeSantis; 9% to former Vice President Mike Pence and the rest of the options does not exceed 5%.

On the Democratic side, 64% of their voters believe that Biden should be the candidate for 2024 compared to 36% who reject him.

The poll is based on 1,271 interviews with registered voters across the country consulted between June 28 and 29 and has a credibility interval of plus or minus 2.7 percentage points.
