Bennedict Mathurin had 19 points, Tyrese Haliburton was 7-of-15 in the final six minutes and the Indiana Pacers rallied to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 108-99 on Friday night.
Haliburton also dished out 12 assists. Indiana posted its fifth straight home win, seventh in its last nine games.
Anfernee Simons led Portland with 20 points and Damian Lillard had 19 points and eight assists. Jusuf Nurkic contributed 14 points and 19 boards to the records of some Trail Blazers who lost for the third time in four days.
Indiana won the match thanks to its defense. The Pacers trailed 97-93 midway through the fourth quarter but Haliburton helped fuel a 15-2 final quarter that turned the game around and the team didn’t concede baskets in the final 7 1/2 minutes.
Both teams had chances to take the lead in a home and away game, but failed to pull away.
