MONTGOMERY, Alabama, USA – A small plane carrying an instructor and a Japanese pilot apprentice crashed in Alabama, killing them both, the United States Air Force reported Sunday.
The T-38C Talon plane crashed around 5:30 p.m. Friday near Montgomery, Alabama, the military said.
The instructor was identified as Scot Ames Jr., 24, of Pekin, Indiana.
The Japanese man, a trainee pilot in the Japanese air force, was not identified.
The incident is being investigated by the US authorities.
