The electricity was cut off in almost 90 thousand homes and businesses throughout the county Montgomery, Marylandin the United States, Sunday night after a small plane crashed into power lines, according to authorities.
No injuries reported, but the accident apparently involved a transmission line in upper county, it reported. The Washington Post.
A website that tracks outages indicated that just after 6 p.m. nearly a quarter of the county was without power.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known. There is a runway for these aircraft at the top of Montgomery and it was not clear if the plane was approaching or taking off.
It was also not immediately known how many of the customers could be served via other transmission lines or cables, or how long it would take to make repairs.
