Who doesn’t dream of power live as long as possible in good health ? Thanks to this study by 4 doctors from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in Maryland (USA), we may well have discovered the secret.
The habit to take to live a long and healthy life
Published in the newspaper The Lancet, the researchers observed 11,000 people and the effect of hydration on their aging. They wanted to find out why some people live longer and without chronic disease while others age prematurely because of it.
The researchers found that adults with a sodium level between 135 and 145 mmol, which is a high level, are likely to have “signs of faster biological aging”.
The solution ? Drink more water. Indeed, the sodium level is very important in the aging process and is regulated by water. High sodium levels are linked to low upper body sodium.
How much water to drink per day?
You must drink a minimum of 2 liters a day for the body to function properly. If you play sports, you should drink more during training.
