Wes Moore becomes the 3rd African-American elected governor

In Maryland, Democrat Wes Moore made history by becoming the first African-American governor of this state neighboring the federal capital Washington DC. Wes Moore defeated Republican Dan Cox, backed by former President Donald Trump.
