Worn by the Harden-Embiid duo, the Sixers win in Utah

Moving to Salt Lake City, the Sixers had all the trouble to get rid of a Jazz team still tenacious in their lair. Once again, Philadelphia can say thank you to its magic duo, Joel Embiid and James Harden.

For detailed stats of this encounter, please follow the guide.

Seeing Lauri Markkanen squat the injury report when facing Joel Embiid’s Sixers, we could have thought that Utah was going to find itself in lack of cartridges. It would be an offense to the collective set up this season by Will Hardy. When a boy is not there at Jazz, another takes over, that has been the credo all year. Goldilocks is missing? Others will take responsibility and it will give good surprises.

Walker Kessler? Another super solid game from the rookie pivot, who did a good job against Embiid, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and a perfect 7/7 in shooting with decisive actions in spades. This little youngster is all good, really a nice pickaxe. We will also note the resurrection of a Talen Horton-Tucker who was very happy coming off the bench to support the bis evening boss for the locals, aka Jordan Clarkson (38 points). The back got hot again at the end of the match and he was not very far from succeeding, but he came across a particularly talented duo in front.

We start with the more bearded of the two and obviously we refer to James Harden. Untenable at the end of the match, “Ramessse” is undoubtedly the big man of the day. He scores 18 of his 31 points in money time, adding 11 assists and decisive actions at the end of the match and boom that’s it des chocapics an XXL performance for the guard. By his side, Joel Embiid (30 points) he also responds at the right time. Dominant from the start of the match, the pivot had more difficulty afterwards against the defense of Jazz and Kessler in particular. Much more erased in the last minutes, he made up for it perfectly by registering the winning shot and trapping perfectly Jordan Clarkson with PJ Tucker on the last possession. It will not have been easy to have this one but it is doing well before a back-to-back at the Lakers.

The defeat is cruel for the Jazz but the talent of James Harden and Joel Embiid will have made the difference at the end of the match. Philadelphia is getting ever closer to the Bucks and the podium in the East.
