Connecticut’s primary takes place today and voters across the state will cast their ballots in several primary contests. There is a Republican primary for the United States Senate and another for the United States Representative. There are primary elections for Secretary of State, Treasurer, and various statewide elections for senators and representatives.
When is the August 2022 CT Primary?
The Connecticut primary is today, Tuesday, August 9.
The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
An absentee ballot must be received by the city clerk before the polls close if mailed or returned by an immediate family member of the in-person applicant or the qualified designee of an ill or physically disabled in-person ballot applicant.

If an unaffiliated voter wanted to vote in a primary, the deadline was noon August 8 at the registrar.
