Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) said it is continuing to monitor the condition and security of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in South Korea amid the ongoing political turmoil in the country.
“We continue to monitor the development and hopefully, there will be no problems,” Minister of P2MI, Abdul Kadir Karding, said after attending the Migrant Day event in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The ministry is also coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare mitigation efforts to anticipate migrant worker handling.
“We have coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to carry out mitigation,” he said.
