They come in all shapes and sizes and one thing they all have in common is that they make the lives of people around them miserable. Be it at home or work, interacting with them is a whole different ball game. But looks like the scientists have found just the right balance to sail smoothly through such situations if you were to be in one!
The concept of narcissism stems from the Greek myth of Narcissus, a handsome man who eschewed the love of others and treated those who fell in love with him with disdain and contempt. Nemesis, the goddess of retribution and revenge, punishes Narcissus for his behaviour, by leading him to a pool of water. Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection and eventually died, unable to leave.
