Meet Sadhbh Cosgrove, Cork’s Chocoholic Entrepreneur
Looking for a unique Christmas treat this year? Look no further than Sadhbh Cosgrove and her delicious Alternative Christmas Pudding business. We caught up with Sadhbh to learn more about her, her passion for pudding, and her favourite things to do in Cork.
Tell Us a Bit About Yourself, Sadhbh
I’m Sadhbh Cosgrove, 26 years old, and a proud Corkonian! I grew up in the city, then went to college in DCU, but I’ve moved back to be closer to family and start my own business. I’m also part of New Frontiers at the MTU branch – something I’m finding really beneficial.
The Pudding Passion
My business, Alternative Christmas Pudding, is all about delicious Belgian chocolate puddings packed with festive flavours like liqueurs and spices. It’s a far cry from your traditional Christmas pudding, and people seem to love it!
Life Outside of Puddings
When I’m not whipping up festive treats, I’m a total homebody. My ideal Friday night is a cozy night in with a delicious takeaway and good company – my boyfriend and friends keep me entertained.
I’m definitely a night owl and love catching up with friends, but I’m trying to embrace the outdoors more, especially if a beach is involved!
Cork’s Culinary Scene
I love exploring all the amazing places to eat in Cork, especially the Marina Market. Poulet Vous is a favourite – the food and coffee are always amazing. Markets are a fantastic way to discover new food stalls and cuisines.
A Festive Farewell
This Christmas, make sure you grab one (or two) of Sadhbh’s delicious puddings! They’d make a fantastic gift for the chocolate lovers in your life. You can find her stall at the Corkmas Festive Market on Emmet Place, open every Thursday to Sunday until December 22. Check out www.corkmas.ie for more details.
