Julian Lennon reveals that he had skin cancer operation

Julian Lennon has reminded people to get themselves checked after he had an operation to remove melanoma skin cancer.

Liverpool-born musician Lennon, 61, the son of former Beatles member John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia, said he was told to have an operation after visiting his dermatologist.

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other areas of the body.
