Universal Pictures has officially announced the news, revealing a mythic action epic filmed entirely on IMAX using groundbreaking new film technology.

A Cinematic First for IMAX

A Journey of Heros, Gods, and Monsters

The Odyssey tells the legendary story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his epic 10-year journey home after the Trojan War. Facing perilous journeys, mythical creatures, and the wrath of the gods, Odysseus’s story embodies themes of heroism, cunning, loyalty, and resilience.

The journey includes iconic encounters with legendary figures like the Cyclops Polyphemus, the captivating Sirens, and the enchanting witch-goddess Circe.
