A man has been arrested by police investigating an alleged assault, in which a metal grate was used, in Co Tyrone.
The incident happened shortly before 7pm yesterday outside a licensed premises in the Main Street area of Ballygawley.
The man, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with a head injury. His condition is understood to be non-life threatening.
Police investigating the incident arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of attempted murder.
Investigations are ongoing and an appeal has been made for anyone with information to contact the PSNI on 101.
