Grave fears are held for a pilot and two passengers of a light plane after it crashed on New South Wales‘ North Coast.
Emergency services received reports of a crash at McIntyres Airfield on Palmers Island, about 120km north of Coffs Harbour, just before 11.30am on Sunday.
The pilot of the aircraft is believed to have been trapped in the aircraft while two others are receiving treatment from paramedics.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said multiple ambulances and a rescue helicopter had been sent to the scene of the crash.
