Jakarta (ANTARA) – Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu’ti on Tuesday said that teaching coding and artificial intelligence (AI) as elective subjects in schools can equip children with the necessary skills for the present and future.
“For coding and AI, first we emphasize that they are elective subjects, not compulsory subjects. Therefore, what we are preparing now is the software, which is the curriculum,” he said here.
According to the minister, the initiative is part of digitalization in education, a flagship program of President Prabowo Subianto.
