KUWAIT URGES STUDENTS TO AVOID ILLEGAL GROUPS, WARN OF BIOMETRIC EXIT DEADLINE
In a stern warning, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has advised students to steer clear of illegal groups, emphasizing the importance of following laws and regulations. This comes amidst concerns over increased unauthorized gatherings, particularly among students.
A spokesperson from the ministry emphasized, "We urge all students to adhere to the laws of the country and avoid joining any illegal groups or associations. Violation of these rules will not be tolerated and legal action will be taken against those found guilty."
Meanwhile, the biometric exit rule for residents has seen many scurrying to complete the process before the deadline. As reported by MediaOne Online, nearly 224,000 residents are yet to comply with the directive, with the deadline expiring soon.
Authorities remind all residents that failure to register may lead to potential travel issues. They encourage those affected to act swiftly and register at the General Department for Residency Affairs, located in Sharq.
In other news, the ministry has reiterated its commitment to maintaining security and stability in the country. It called upon all expatriates to respect Kuwait’s laws and traditions, reminding them that any breach of these rules will result in swift and severe penalties.
As always, the Kuwaiti authorities maintain an open-door policy for inquiries and assistance. They urge residents to contact the ministry or visit its official website for any clarifications or help.
