JOHOR BAHRU – A 40-year-old man was shot and killed at a restaurant in Johor Bahru’s Taman Setia Indah on Jan 8.
Johor state police chief M. Kumar said there were four gunshot wounds on the victim’s body.
The incident occurred at 12pm, said Johor Bahru South Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat.
A resident alerted the authorities through the Malaysian Emergency Response Services 999 hotline.
He added that a video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
“Preliminary investigations identified the victim as a 40-year-old male. The victim was pronounced dead by the medical team from Sultan Ismail Hospital.
