Two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra has been included in the Athletics Federation of India’s Athletes Commission, which will be chaired by long-jump legend Anju Bobby George, the AFI announced on Wednesday.
India’s javelin throw superstar Neeraj Chopra is one of three male athletes in the newly-formed nine-member athletes commission.
The Athletes Commission aims to represent the interests and perspectives of athletes within the governance structures of the Athletics Federation of India. This includes various responsibilities such as advocating for athlete rights, providing input on competition regulations and representing athlete interests in discussions with the AFI.
