Indian shuttlers Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s doubles event at the Malaysia Open 2025 badminton tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Chirag-Satwik, ninth in the men’s doubles badminton rankings, saved four game points in the opening game against the world No. 24 local challenge of Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi before winning the quarter-final 26-24, 21-15.
Both pairs started strongly but Chirag and Satwik edged ahead with an 11-9 lead at the break.
