Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide.1,2 There are various types of glaucoma, all of which ultimately cause progressive and irreversible damage to the optic nerve, leading to visual field defects and, eventually, blindness.3 Primary glaucoma can be classified into three main types: open-angle, angle-closure, and congenital.
