Viewers were left scratching their heads at one part of the Tommy Tiernan Show after a harrowing interview with a wrongfully imprisoned Irishman went straight into a conversation with comedians the Wild Geeze.
Describing themselves as a female comedic duo ‘bringing queer cabaret to the country’, the pair are made up of ‘lesbian farmer’ Breda Larkin and burlesque chanteuse and body-positive activist Miss Lavelle from Limerick city.
Speaking to Tommy about how they met and how shared tragedies — the deaths of their respective siblings — helped them bond, the Wild Geeze struck an odd note with viewers after the disturbing interview which preceded them.
