TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized assets worth Rp8.1 billion from Anwar Sadad in connection with a bribery case involving the management of grant funds for community groups (pokmas) from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Anwar is a suspect in the case.
KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto confirmed that the seized assets included three land parcels with buildings in Surabaya, as well as one apartment unit in Malang. The confiscation occurred on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
“According to investigators, these assets were seized from suspect AS,” Tessa confirmed to Tempo on Tuesday, January 14.
