A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in Co Cavan on Saturday night.
Annie Heyneman, 55, was found dead at her home in the townland of Kilnavart, around 7km west of Ballyconnell.
It is understood the mother-of-five suffered a violent death.
A man in his 60s, believed to be her husband, was also injured and is being treated in hospital. His condition is said to be serious but stable.
A man in his 30s was arrested by gardaí at a separate location in the county and questioned in relation to the incident.
He has now been charged and is due to appear before Monaghan District Court at 10am this morning.
