Empoli must pay a fee of €5 million to sign striker Sebastiano Esposito on a permanent basis from Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the Nerazzurri don’t have a buyback option, but due have a sell-on clause.
This evening, Esposito will face his parent club Inter.
The Nerazzurri host Empoli, and the 22-year-old striker will be a familiar face in the Tuscan club’s lineup.
Esposito joined Empoli on loan during the summer transfer window.
This was the first Serie A club that the Italy Under-21 international has been at on loan. He had previously had spells at SPAL, Venezia, Bari, and Sampdoria in Serie B.
