Former Cobh Ramblers men’s boss Gary Hunt has been named the new head coach of Waterford Women FC ahead of their inaugural campaign in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.
Preparations are being ramped up ahead of the Blues’ first foray into the division; they announced last June that they intended to become the 12th team in the league.
Hunt is no stranger to club, having first joined the coaching set-up in 2019 as the head of youth development, where he oversaw Waterford’s Under-13s, Under-15s, Under-17s and Under-19s boys and men’s sides.
