9.45am: Trump arrives at St John’s Church for mass
Donald Trump’s first event of the day was to attend a service at St John’s Church in Washington, DC ahead of his inauguration.
Mr Trump was accompanied to the event by his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, and members of his family.
He was also joined at the service by Vice President JD Vance and his wife.
The service marks the beginning of a day of ceremonial events.
