Ministry strengthens FMD handling strategy for red zone areas

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Agriculture Ministry is intensifying a strategy to handle Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) among livestock in nine provinces categorized as red zones.

Those nine provinces include six in Java, along with Lampung, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara, the ministry’s Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Agung Suganda, remarked on Saturday.

His side, along with the heads of animal husbandry and animal health services in the nine red zones, held a meeting on Friday with representatives of professional, academic, and livestock associations.
