Boyzone: No Matter What Docuseries Spurs Questions About Mikey Graham’s Involvement

Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch have been enthusiastically promoting their new docuseries, “Boyzone: No Matter What”, while Mikey Graham’s absence from these events has raised eyebrows among fans.

Mikey Graham’s Elusive Presence

Sky aired a clip of the three bandmates at the London premiere on Monday, leaving many wondering about Mikey’s whereabouts. At 52 years old, Mikey’s absence was noticeable on the red carpet.

The band’s official account addressed this mystery with a vague statement: “Mikey’s pursuing other interests and couldn’t attend tonight, but we’re excited for fans to see his contribution to the documentary.”

Mikey Graham’s Conflicted Past

Mikey’s disengagement from recent Boyzone activities stems from a tumultuous past within the band. He once branded their tour ‘toxic’ after a significant clash with Keith.

“It had reached a complete stage of malignancy. I’d had enough,” Mikey said, reflecting on the toxic environment during their final tour.

He recounted experiencing cruel behavior and left Japan mid-tour, unable to complete the final shows at the Palladium. Post-tour, Mikey distanced himself from his bandmates, determined to make profound life changes.

The Final Farewell: Ronan Keating’s Perspective

Ronan Keating echoed Mikey’s sentiment, emphasizing the negative impact of their tour. Relationships ‘broke down,’ he said, indicating the tour was challenging.

“People just started behaving f**king badly and when that happens, something’s going to happen,” Ronan shared, hinting at the band’s inevitable dissolution.

These confessions paint a picture of a once-united group whose internal strife led to their undoing.

Mikey Graham’s Future and Contribution to the Docuseries

Despite his past conflicts, Mikey chose to participate in the new docuseries. “Boyzone: No Matter What” promises insights from the bandmate who chose to step away from the spotlight.

However, the Irish Mirror reported Mikey has no intention of reuniting with his former bandmates. “I wish them the absolute best in their lives and wish them nothing but happiness,” Mikey stated, emphasizing his lack of desire to revisit past turmoil.

“I don’t want to go back to how I felt for many years,” he added, underscoring his commitment to looking forward rather than backward.

Mikey Graham’s Struggles After Boyzone

Mikey’s personal journey post-Boyzone is marked by significant challenges. Fame and fortune took their toll, leading to alcohol abuse as he grappled with his emotions.

His relationship with Boyzone manager Louis Walsh also soured dramatically, with Walsh severing ties without any explanation.

Post-band, Mikey chose to live away from the spotlight, settling in a rural area in Ireland. He is now a father to two daughters, Hannah and Sienna Nicole, and became a grandfather in 2022 when Hannah welcomed a baby girl.
