Three teenagers died when the car they were travelling in crashed into a ditch in a “tragic incident”, a coroner has said.
Koby Jones, 18, and 19-year-olds Shay Doyle and Daniel Grace were travelling on Bramley Lane, in West Bretton near Wakefield, on 24 January when their vehicle left the road.
The three were pronounced dead at the scene, Wakefield Coroners Court was told.
Mr Jones, an apprentice joiner from nearby Flockton, was the driver of the car, with Mr Doyle, a shop assistant from Dewsbury and Mr Grace, an apprentice joiner from Ossett, seated in the rear of the vehicle.
Area coroner Oliver Longstaff adjourned the inquests until a later date.
