Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna says he is keeping his fingers crossed for Sammie Szmodics after the Republic of Ireland attacker was forced off with another injury in their FA Cup win at Coventry on Saturday.
The Tractor Boys earned a 4-1 win away to Coventry in the FA Cup to advance to the fifth round, with the Fermanagh man making 11 changes to his relegation-battling Ipswich starting line-up.
Szmodics was among those to come into the side, playing his first game in over a month after an ankle injury, and won an early penalty barely 20 seconds into the game.
However, the 29-year-old, who has 10 caps to date, was forced off before half-time after twice going down needing treatment.
