Donal Skehan has responded to criticism from Samantha Mumba about the Eurosong judging panel, saying he stands by his role and the feedback he gave on the night.
In a statement on Instagram, Skehan acknowledged the effort all the artists put into their performances and said he had “nothing but admiration” for the courage it takes to compete.
“I understand that Samantha’s response is personal and comes from a place of deep emotion, something that is entirely understandable in such a high-stakes competition,” he said.
