6,500 flee flooding, heavy rain in Palawan

More than 1,800 families or 6,500 individuals have fled flooding and heavy rain from the shear line in Palawan.

The evacuees were from the municipalities of Aborlan, Narra, Sofronio Española, and Brooke’s Point.

They sought shelter in various evacuation centers according to the situational report of the Emergency Operations Center of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
