India sealed their spot in the quarter-finals of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2025 after defeating Macau China 5-0 in their Group D opener in Qingdao, the People’s Republic of China, on Wednesday.
The Indian badminton players won all their matches in the tie in straight games.
Macau China, who also lost against the Republic of Korea in their opening tie on Tuesday, have been knocked out following Wednesday’s defeat.
The Indian badminton team, bronze medallists at the last edition in 2023, will play two-time runner-ups South Korea on Thursday with the winner finishing as the group winner. The top two from each group advance to the quarter-finals.
