Over €500,000 worth of cannabis herb and plants have been seized from a “sophisticated” growhouse in Co Cavan.
Gardaí discovered the drugs in a house in Belturbet as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Cavan/Monaghan area.
They recovered 111 sapling cannabis plants and more than 25kg of cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of more than €500,000.
“The drugs have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis”, said gardaí in a statement.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
