Slot on that red card

Liverpool boss Arne Slot admitted “emotions got the better of me” after his red card at the end of a dramatic final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

Slot was sent off by referee Michael Oliver after the full-time whistle having seen James Tarkowski score in the eighth minute of added time to earn a 2-2 draw.

The Dutchman is now involved in a Football Association investigation so could not speak about details, but said he would behave differently in the future.
