TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Jakarta government has initiated another round of weather modification efforts, running from February 14 until 21. Fikri Nur Muhammad, Deputy Supervisor of Weather Modification at the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), explained that cloud growth in western Java, including Jakarta, has exceeded 70 percent. This pattern is typical for the second half of February.
“The potential for rain cloud growth in Banten, Jakarta, and West Java, in general, is high,” he said in a written statement on Friday, February 14, 2025.
