Hendirx Lapierre is heating up after a slow start to the 2024-25 season.

The Capitals’ 2020 first-round pick was named AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 16, 2025 after posting five points (2g, 3a) in 2 games.

The 23-year-old center first broke a 38-game goalless streak (NHL/AHL combined) on Tuesday, scoring on a breakaway and later adding an assist. On Saturday, Lapierre scored the overtime game-winner and tallied two assists, including a secondary apple on the Bears’ game-tying goal late…
