The 4 Nations Face-Off is starting to take a toll on Team USA. As they were preparing for their meaningless matchup Monday night against Team Sweden, reports started to circulate that Boston Bruins’ defenseman Charlie McAvoy had been admitted to a local hospital.
The Boston Globe reports McAvoy has an upper-body injury. Per the report:
Charlie McAvoy was admitted to Mass. General Hospital Monday night as Team USA was battling Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden, two sources familiar with the situation confirmed.
