Russia “have the cards” in negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine as “they’ve taken a lot of territory”, US President Donald Trump has said.
“I think the Russians want to see the war end,” Mr Trump told reporters.
Mr Trump’s comments come after he denounced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a “dictator” and warned he had to move quickly to secure peace or risk losing his country, deepening a feudbetween the two leaders that has alarmed European officials.
