Cal Poly Wrestling Takes Down Roadrunners in Feud on the Field

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In its final dual of the season, Cal Poly wrestling used some key bonus-point victories to secure a dramatic 23-20 victory at Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday while wrestling outdoors on CSUB’s Main Soccer Field.

The two Pac-12 foes split the 10 bouts — winning five each — but bonus-point wins by the Mustangs at 125, 157 and 174 pounds allowed Cal Poly to emerge victorious in the “Feud on the Field.” The Mustangs wrestled Sunday’s dual without two key starters in Chance Lamer — ranked No. 9 at 149 pounds — and Trevor Tinker, No. 22 at heavyweight.
