The NHL Department of Player Safety summoned Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras for a hearing Monday on his unpenalized head hit to Detroit’s Michael Rasmussen.
The result of the hearing was a three-game suspension for interference against Rasmussen late in the second period of Detroit’s 5-4 win against Anaheim Sunday.
“I didn’t really see it too well to be honest with you,” Detroit’s Patrick Kane said. “I saw a little bit of a replay but off what I saw it seemed pretty high especially for a guy that’s six foot six.”
