Ask and you shall receive. That was the case for Jean Silva’s latest UFC booking.
The rising featherweight contender called out veteran Bryce Mitchell after his TKO win this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 252, and just a few days later, he got the fight.
On Wednesday, in an Instagram live announcement, UFC CEO Dana White revealed Silva (17-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and Mitchell (17-12 MMA, 8-2 UFC) have been scheduled to collide in an 145-pound matchup at UFC 314, which goes down on April 12 at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
However, in a twist, White said it was Mitchell who texted him and specifically asked for the matchup after being called out.
