President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said Thursday that the Philippines wants to enhance bilateral ties with Sweden and Egypt.
Marcos made the remark as the newly appointed ambassadors of both countries presented their credentials to him. He had separate meetings with Swedish Ambassador-designate Anna Ferry and Egyptian Ambassador-designate Nader Nabil Zaki at Malacañang Palace.
According to the Presidential Communications Office, Ferry told Marcos that Sweden views the Philippines as a “priority partner.”
She said Sweden supports the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the freedom of navigation.
