MANILA, Philippines — The camp of former president Rodrigo Duterte is considering placing him at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) for treatment following his arrest after returning to the country from a thanksgiving celebration in Hong Kong.
In a telephone interview with The Manila Times, former Labor secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd., the former president’s legal counsel, confirmed that they were “negotiating” for the transfer of the former president from Villamor Airbase to VMMC.
