Supporters of former president Rodrigo Duterte held a prayer rally in Rosehill, Sydney, Australia on Monday as they called for the release of the former amid his arrest for alleged crimes against humanity.
According to GMA Regional TV News, the gathering was attended by more than 500 supporters who donned the Duterte’s trademark green and white shirts.
The supporters repeatedly shouted “Bring him home!” and “Duterte” while waving their signs and Philippine flags.
Supporters also held protests in parts of Europe to express their support for Duterte who is now detained at Hague Penitentiary Institution or the Scheveningen Prison.
