Freelancer wristwatch: an ironic take on the endless workday
The Freelancer wristwatch prototype by Humap transforms timekeeping into a visual commentary on the rhythms of freelance work. Conceived as a tangible infographic rather than a commercial product, the watch presents an unconventional representation of time, where day and night merge into an unbroken cycle.
At first glance, the dial appears structured and orderly, but a closer look reveals its unique distortion. A continuous black stroke loops from 9 AM to 3 AM, reflecting the extended and unpredictable nature of freelance hours.
