A number of cars have caught fire at a scrap yard near Altrincham Retail Park
Residents have been told to keep their doors and windows shut as firefighters tackle a huge blaze in Greater Manchester.
Fire crews were called out to reports of a fire in Altrincham at around midday today (March 22). The blaze has broken out after a number of vehicles broke out at the J Davidson scrap yard in Craven Road, located right next to Altrincham Retail Park in Broadheath.
Smoke can be seen billowing all over the area with emergency crews at the scene as they try to extinguish the fire.
