RTE is spending over €250,000 per year on wardrobe to buy ­outfits from high-end retailers, it’s emerged.

These include Brown Thomas and Dublin tailor Louis Copeland.

The bill at Brown Thomas came to more than €71,000 over the past three and a half years while suits and other clothes from Louis Copeland cost a total of around €58,000.

Items bought elsewhere included €119 cowboy boots, clothing from a luxury ­London bespoke tailor, and the hire of dresses for the Rose…
